The club
Athens Nautical Club is an active sailing and watersports club based on the East Coast of Attica, officially recognized by the Hellenic Ministry of Sports.
Established in 2018, our club combines tradition with a modern approach to sports, offering training, competition, and recreational opportunities for all ages and skill levels. We provide training programs and activities for sailing, windsurfing, and other sea sports, catering to all ages and abilities. Proudly supporting competitive teams, the Club also offers recreational and educational opportunities for children, teenagers, and adults.
We have a deep love for the sea and a strong commitment to youth development, bringing together athletes, families, and sea enthusiasts in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
Our Mission
The Athens Nautical Club was established to fill a gap in the Hellenic sailing scene, focusing on less traditional but rapidly growing and popular worldwide sports such as:
- Windsurfing
- Wingfoiling
- Kitesurfing
- SUP
- Surfski Kayak
Our mission is to promote these sports, which are relatively new to the sailing and paddling community. They appeal to a different sports audience and often receive little attention from traditional nautical clubs in Greece.
We are committed to attracting new athletes, supporting young talent, and promoting lifelong athleticism by encouraging people of all ages to stay active and engaged with sailing and watersports throughout their lives.
To support this mission, we organize successful national and international events, actively engage with our local community, run Kids Summer Camps, and offer training courses and seminars.
Facilities
The Club is located right on the beach, providing direct access to the sea and excellent conditions for sailing and watersports. Our facilities are designed to serve both athletic needs and the comfort of our members and guests, including:
- Classrooms and briefing rooms for theory and coaching
- Changing rooms, showers, and athlete amenities
- Storage areas for boards, sails, and personal equipment
- Easy access to calm and safe waters
- A privately-run café is available on site, offering food and drinks with a sea view
- A fully equipped first-aid station with an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- A fleet of coaching and safety boats, ensuring constant on-water supervision during training and events
Safety is a top priority at our Club. Whether it’s training sessions or international competitions, our team is fully prepared to respond quickly and effectively to any situation on or off the water.
Membership
The Athens Nautical Club is more than a sports venue – it’s a community. We welcome new members of all ages and levels, offering them access to sports, training, and events in a supportive and inspiring environment.
Whether you’re a competitive athlete, a recreational paddler, or a parent looking to introduce your child to the sea sports, you will find your place here.

Thanks to the mild climate, affordable accommodation, and delicious Greek food, Artemida attracts sailing teams from around the world for year-round training.
