Athens Nautical Club was founded in 2018 in Artemis Attica, by a group of people from the wider region of Eastern Attica, to meet the needs of watersports, which the most nautical clubs did not give the same attention.
Our Club watersports
The sports we cultivate are the Windsurfing, the Kiteboarding, the Stand Up Paddle Surfing, the Surf-ski and theHydrofoils, Windsurf-foil, kite-foil, wing-foil, Sup-foil.
The above categories of sailing, as newer sports in the sailing community and addressed to a differnet sports audience, did not receive the due attention of the sailling clubs of the region, who had their attention focused only on the traditional sailing classes
The Stand Up Paddle and Surfski are also very dynamic and impressive open sea paddling sports, with SUP holding the record for the worlds fastest growing sport. They are new sports and dont get the attention they deserve.
Club goals
So we came as a nautical club under the name Athens Nautical Club to fill the this gap, to create athletes and to cultivate these sports.
Our goals is to spread our sports, to atrract new athletes, to participate in competitions in Grecce and abroad, as well as organize our competitions.
Here at Athens Nautical Club are starting a long trip and an effort that will quickly succed with even more participation and registration of new athletes, with interests and very good results for our children for Greece.
Our Club management
The Club managed bu it’s board of directors, witch is elected every three years by the generl assembly of Athens Nautical Clubs members. The status of a member of the board of directors is, according to the Athens Nautical Club statute, honorary and unpaid.
Our Club members
Members can become all Greek citizens and foreigners who have reached the age of 18 and meet the conditions provided from the statute of registration. Iinformation on membership registration can be found at the Clubs secretariat.
Our club athletes
The athetes of Atehns Nautical Club have the possibility to tarin by certified coaches in the water area of St. Nikolaos. Athens Nautical Club ia a healthy environment where sportsmanship and competition are cultivated. Our Club stars with great distinctions, both domestically and internationaly in all the sports it conducts, but it is not jyst for champions. It embraces for all athletes who want to engage in the sports they cultivate, from beginners to advanced athletes.
Where is the Club located?
Athens Nautical Club is located at the Eastern and of the Attica, specifically at the northen end of the bay of Artemis.
